Scope and Limitations of Telehealth Services

Goal Mind Inc. offers mental health services via telehealth in accordance with federal and state laws. Telehealth may have limitations based on:

Geographic location and state licensure of the provider
Availability of services in your state
Suitability of virtual care for certain psychiatric or substance use disorders
Scope of practice of the provider (e.g., therapy vs. prescribing)

Goal Mind Inc. does not guarantee that all services (e.g., controlled substance prescribing, medication management) will be appropriate or available to all patients in all states.

All clinical services are provided by licensed and credentialed providers, and may include psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, or clinical psychologists depending on location and scope.

Limited Hours and Provider Availability

Telehealth services through Goal Mind Inc. are provided during scheduled appointment hours only. We do not offer 24-hour clinical monitoring.
Patients will receive communication about provider availability, expected response times, and appropriate uses of messaging platforms or electronic communication.

Any urgent issues that arise outside of your scheduled appointments should be directed to emergency services or urgent care resources in your state.

Privacy and Security

While Goal Mind Inc. uses secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms for video conferencing, messaging, and documentation, telehealth inherently has limitations. We encourage all patients to:

Use secure, private internet connections for sessions
Avoid public networks or shared devices
Notify us of any changes in your location or privacy concerns

Your health data is protected in accordance with federal (HIPAA) and applicable state privacy laws. However, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of internet-based communication.

Jurisdiction and Licensure

All services are rendered under the legal jurisdiction of the state in which the patient resides and the provider is licensed. It is the responsibility of the patient to disclose their location prior to any clinical services being rendered. Goal Mind Inc. reserves the right to cancel or defer services if jurisdiction or licensure laws are not met.
